Every day, our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a place of hope, healing and miracles. It’s where extraordinary care meets some of life’s most fragile moments. Now, we have the opportunity—and responsibility—to take that care even further.
With your support, Spartanburg Regional Foundation is raising funds to renovate the NICU and create a dedicated, high-quality breast milk preparation and storage space. These improvements will directly enhance patient safety, support families and strengthen the care our smallest patients receive during their earliest days of life.

Human breast milk is lifesaving medicine for premature and medically fragile infants. Our clinical teams deliver exceptional care every day—but space limitations and outdated layouts create challenges in how breast milk is stored and handled. For babies whose immune systems are still developing, even small improvements can make a meaningful difference.

- A more efficient NICU layout that enhances staff workflow, visibility, and family-centered care
- Improved spaces offer a calmer setting for families in stressful times. Dedicated areas for parent involvement, especially for lactation, will provide better support to mothers supplying milk for their infants.
