Kelsey Sanders
Kelsey Sanders joined Spartanburg Regional Foundation in May 2025, bringing over a decade of experience in community health. In her role as lead grant writer, she guides the development of competitive proposals that advance the health system’s strategic priorities. She collaborates closely with clinical teams to secure resources that expand access to high-quality healthcare.
Originally from Michigan, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. Since 2013, Kelsey has built her public health career in South Carolina, working with communities across the state to improve access to healthy choices, especially nutritious foods and safe places to be active. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked for a statewide nonprofit focused on preventing chronic disease through a systems change approach. In that role, she managed a statewide grants program and provided technical assistance to community coalitions.
Kelsey’s expertise includes community health improvement planning, systems thinking, grant writing and management. She is grateful to work in the service of the community she now calls home.
She lives in Spartanburg with her husband, Adam.
