AccessHealth Spartanburg
AccessHealth Spartanburg supports health services for low-income, uninsured members of the Spartanburg County community. Clients are connected with physicians while AccessHealth staff members provide case management to help clients with transportation, housing, and more.
Behavioral Health Fund
The Behavioral Health Fund supports training and education for staff members in the Spartanburg Medical Center Behavioral Health unit as well as funding for basic needs for patients served in the unit.
Betty Ann Moore Colon Cancer Fund
The Betty Ann Moore Colon Cancer Fund assists uninsured and underinsured community members with the cost of a colonoscopy screening. The fund was established by the children of Betty Ann Moore, who passed away following a battle against colon cancer.
Bradshaw Pediatric Rehab Assistance Fund
The Bradshaw Pediatric Rehab Assistance Fund provides therapy equipment that patient insurance will not cover and that families cannot afford out of pocket. The fund also covers the cost of an annual Christmas party for pediatric rehab patients and their families.
Cancer Special Needs Fund
The Cancer Special Needs Fund provides assistance for oncology patients for basic needs and services.
Chaplain's Fund
The Chaplain’s Fund supports uninsured and underinsured patients by covering expenses for medicine, food, transportation or other basic needs.
David Ike Fund
The David Ike Fund supports patients in cardiac rehabilitation. The fund honors the work of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System cardiologist David Ike.
Diabetes Management Fund
The Diabetes Management Fund supports education for both patients and caregivers. Programs include classes for uninsured patients, as well as one-to-one guidance on diabetes self-care.
Harold E. Fleming, Sr. MD Patient Independence Fund
The Harold E. Fleming, Sr. MD Patient Independence Fund promotes the independence and safety of Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care patients who have returned to their homes. It funds appropriate medical equipment, supplies and handicapped-accessible ramps. Fleming, who died in 2009, was a leader in Spartanburg’s medical community throughout his lengthy career.
Harrison Chapman Fund
The Harrison Chapman Fund provides funding for patients who cannot afford cardiac rehabilitation at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. The fund was created by the children of Harrison Chapman, whose life exemplified community service and philanthropy in the Spartanburg community.
Hospice Special Needs Fund
The Hospice Special Needs Fund provides a wide range of support for Regional Hospice patients and their families. These efforts include the delivery of pre-prepared meals at Thanksgiving and Easter, medicines, hospital beds, payment of gas and electric bills, and more.
Mammography Assistance Fund
The Mammography Assistance Fund provides mammograms for uninsured and underinsured women.
Maternal Fetal Medicine Fund
The Maternal Fetal Medicine Fund assists pregnant patients with medical bills at Maternal-Fetal Medicine or other Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System departments.
Missy Rowland Turner Memorial Fund
The Missy Rowland Turner Memorial Fund supports breast cancer testing as well as quality of life enhancements for female breast cancer patients and/or their families. The fund was established in honor of Missy Turner, who died in 2007 at the age of 40 after battling breast cancer.
